Vancouver-born artist Aleesa Cohene (b. 1976) has been producing videos since 2001. Their work has shown in festivals and galleries across Canada as well as in Brazil, Cambodia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Scandinavia, Turkey, and the United States. Recent solo exhibitions include I Know You Know (Oakville Galleries, Oakville), Yes, Angel (Galerie Suvi Lehtinen, Berlin) and The Rest Is Real (Vtape, Toronto); and group exhibitions Coming After (The Power Plant, Toronto) and Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time (Or Gallery, Vancouver). They hold a Masters of Visual Studies from the University of Toronto.
