Eliza Chandler

Earning her PhD from the Social Justice and Education department at OISE/UT, Eliza Chandler is the Artistic Director at Tangled Art + Disability, an organization in Toronto dedicated to the cultivation of disability arts. She is also the post-doctoral fellow in Ryerson University’s School of Disability Studies where she researches the development of disability arts in Canada. Chandler is the president of the Canadian Disability Studies Association and is the co-director of the disability arts community group Project Creative Users and she is a practicing artist. Recent publications include Imagining Otherwise: The Ephemeral Spaces of Envisioning New Meaning and Canadian disability activism beyond the charter: Locating artistic and cultural interventions (C. Kelly & M. Orsini, editors, 2015).
