Reda’s work reflects censorship towards fundamentalism and her traditional culture’s prejudiced judgements on women's behaviours and desires. Through protest gestures, Reda urges to amplify her struggle against paradigms of inferiority and resist being oppressed and exploited, whilst she was taught to always be subservient. Reda I explores the tensions between her lived bodily experiences as a migrant Arab woman and her cultural meanings and family prescriptions inscribed on her female body. Within live performance art Reda aspires to feel her existence and understand her identity and place in this world. Reda feels the urgent need to speak out against voices of oppression that are used to suppress freedom and silence her voice.
