Nahed Mansour is a Toronto-based performance artist. She positions her Arab body in ways that challenge Orientalism, capitalism, and other ‘isms’ plaguing colonial powers. She serves on the boards of Community Arts Ontario, Fado Performance Inc., and has most recently joined the Programming Committee of Mayworks Festival. Mansour’s performances have been presented in Nuit Blanche (Toronto, 2006), DSM-V+ (Quebec City, 2006), and 7a*11d International Festival of Performance Art (Toronto, 2006).
