Rita Kamacho started experimenting with performance-installation in 2001, the same year she immigrated to Canada. Using her background in graphic design, she utilizes everyday objects to create strong images that play with the multilayered relationship between fantasy and reality. Dislocation and movement are frequent themes in her artistic discourse.
